The Tralee and Dingle Light Railway, update

The Tralee and Dingle Light RailwayJust a short, but rather great notice: The railway will finally be operational again after a break of 3 years. The steam engine 5T is still in dire need of repair, but at least it has been removed from the open yard and is now stored safe and dry inside the shed. The work will be done by two diesels instead, the first journey will commence on next saturday , 1. August at 10:30 am. And yes, I am talking about 2009. I’ll try to be there! More pictures after the break.

  3. Hi Keith,
yes - I presume the journey will start at Blennerville although I didn’t ask that question. I also saw that the gates at the Aquadome station were still broken yesterday, but I think they could have managed to repair both of them today :) It will be nice to see things finally moving again.

    Amicalement

  11. Is there an website for the railway by the owners rather than the www.tdlr.org.uk site?

Does the railway run over the winter, or did it close at the end of the tourist season?
