Courthouse of Tralee at nightIt’s the quiet time of the year, so there is not so much to write about Tralee right now. But the town is not sleeping, a lot of work is currently been done to prepare all for the next tourist season. Some pictures:

  1. Hi - I’m tearing my hair out trying to figure out what’s the name of the street with the Garda car heading down the road and the block of apartments on the right? – under the “just some pictures…section. I’m Tralee born and bred and now living in Australia for the last 20 years so well done on the Tralee site which is very professional. Maybe more pictures? Thanks Liam

  3. Hi Liam,
the picture was taken viewing down Oakpark Road/Edward Street (today the N69 coming from Listowel). On the left hand side you would pass the train station after a few hundred metres, the pub to the right is called “Stokers Lodge”. The apartment block at the junction is a student accomodation with the rather inappropriate name “The Old Mill”. If you would continue straight ahead you would pass the post office behind the junction and would then come to a stop in front of St. John’s Church. The picture in the posting: http://blog.tralee.org/2008/12/19/storm-over-tralee/ has been taken from almost the same position on the opposite site of the road.
Thanks for your comment, I will try to add more pictures of Tralee in the future.
    Regards,
    Holger
