Tralee Town Park will soon be the tranquil place it used to be, to be honest it will indeed even be much better than before. With the  huge success of the new extensive playground area and after months of work at new pathways and water features, the first new fountain has finally been in operation when I visited the park today. Maybe it was the first time ever they switched it on.

Although some of the works (and a second fountain?) are still to be completed one can now see how much has been achieved over the winter months, with the majority to be finished just in time for the new tourist season. I add some more photos:

While the left one shows a kind of overview (the fountain seen from the Garden of the Senses with the new playground in the background just visible behind the hedge) one can see a possible second new fountain on the photograph in the centre. And finally, the right picture gives you an idea about the view back from the playground to St. John’s Church. I like the place!
