Tralee Town Park will soon be the tranquil place it used to be, to be honest it will indeed even be much better than before. With the  huge success of the new extensive playground area and after months of work at new pathways and water features, the first new fountain has finally been in operation when I visited the park today. Maybe it was the first time ever they switched it on. [»]

As I already wrote yesterday there is currently a great new festival underway in Tralee. Although I was quite sure that the Kerry Bicycle Festival was going to be a success at the time I wrote it I didn’t know any of the guys who organized it then, nor had I visited any of the events so far. I had the chance to change that fact yesterday evening as well as today and it turned out to be great fun indeed. [»]

I almost forgot this important date, but fortunately I did not and so it’s not too late to promote it now: the inaugural Kerry Bicycle Festival is about to start tonight, and I hope many will follow. As a biker (the picture shows my own bicycle on a beach in Fenit) I think it’s about time to encourage more people to enjoy cycling as a great way of not simply getting from one point to another but also to have a lot of fun in between.
